Major league harness racing is scheduled five nights a week at the picturesque Campbellville oval in the Spring and Fall; Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays dark. Post time each race night is 7:30 p.m., (Monday’s post time is 7:20 p.m.).
Mohawk is open year round to provide stabling and serves as a training centre for local horsemen.
Since its opening on April 26, 1963, a parade of great champions such as Cam Fella, Matts Scooter, Artsplace, Moni Maker, Odies Fame and Somebeachsomewhere have thrilled racing fans at Mohawk.

After 35 years as Canada's premier 5/8ths mile harness oval, Mohawk was transformed into a one-of-a-kind 7/8th's mile oval track after a massive $2 million summer overhaul, opening on September 14, 1998 to rave reviews from fans and horsemen alike.
In August 1999, the track unveiled a new slots area complete with 750 machines and a racebook featuring racing from around North America. Tens of thousands of customers visit Mohawk each week.
Whether you're a racing buff or just looking for a night of great entertainment, Mohawk affords customers the opportunity to enjoy harness racing in style. With FREE admission and ample FREE parking, it's the best value around. The Terrace Dining Room overlooks the track and features an array of eating choices from either our gourmet menu or our sumptuous all-you-can-eat buffet. Individual television monitors are on each table. Mutuel windows are located in the Terrace and throughout the track; self-serve terminals are also available.
For less formal dining, concession stands in the grandstand offer a variety of food and snack items. Unreserved seating is available in all areas of the track, as well as in the Trackside Lounge beverage room. The racetrack features a glassed-in, climate controlled enclosure for viewing pleasure in all types of weather.
