  1. What is the dress code?
The dress code is business casual. What this simply means is we do not allow sweat pants, ripped jeans or t-shirts or shorts. If you are entertaining in the Woodbine Club, jeans of any sort or colour are prohibited.

  2. Is there a charge for parking/admission?
No, parking is absolutely complimentary. Parking is never a problem at both Woodbine and Mohawk. Valet Parking is available at a nominal charge. General Admission is also complimentary.

  3. When does the dining room open and how long is the buffet available?
The dining room always opens one hour prior to post time and the buffet will remain available until the start of the 5th race.

  4. What is the cancellation policy?
Should a cancellation occur less than 30 days before your event the deposit is forfeited. If we are unable to resell the space, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total revenue lost will apply. If a cancellation is received prior to the 30 days of the event, the deposit is fully refundable. All cancellations must be received in writing.

  5. Do I have to give you a deposit?
We will require a deposit of $20.00 per person, based on the estimated attendance, which is due at the time of the signing the contract.

  6. What sort of special things do you do for groups?
Each group will receive a special welcome in our racing program, as well as a posting on our Matrix board. See also Race Sponsorship

  7. Can we leave our tables to go to the slot floor?
You may leave your tables to visit other areas, we ask that you inform your Host/Hostess prior to leaving.

  8. What kind of items are on the buffet?
The traditional racing buffet features a wide variety of salads, cold platters (i.e. deli meats, cheeses, vegetables); two hot items (i.e. chicken with basil tomato Calais, Cheese Tortellini); Roasted Top Sirloin of Beef, potatoes, vegetables and a wide variety of desserts, fruits, coffee and tea.

  9. Where is the Casino?
The slot floor is located on the first floor, north side of the Woodbine.

  10. If we arrive early, is there a bar we can go for a drink?
Woodbine has several bars available placed at key locations throughout the property. Each lounge provides a great place for a cocktail prior to the opening of the Group Dining Room. Inside the slot floor HoofBeats Lounge and Willows stand-up bar is worth a visit. Drop by the Finish Line Bar located on the second floor - our name says it all. Sit out on Champions Patio on the 3rd floor overlooking the finish line. Or watch the International action on the large screen televisions. (Please note a cover charge is in effect for both the Finish Line Bar and Champions - See Dining Lounges)

  11. Can we buy betting vouchers and have them billed to our account?
Many groups purchase betting vouchers for events at the track. They are a nice touch to a well-planned event. Anytime someone wishes to buy betting vouchers, they must do so in person and on a cash basis as gambling can never be done credit. Billing to your account or the use of a credit card would be considered credit.

  12. Can we bring our own birthday cake?
Having a Birthday? Let one of our Event Planners help you to plan this special event. We would be more than happy to provide you and your guests (when dining in one of our restaurants) a complimentary birthday cake.

  13. Can I reserve a particular area in the restaurant (ie. Window section)?
Seating for groups is done on a first booked basis. If you are the first group to book on a given day, we can put a request in for the tables at the window, for example. Your Event Planner can give you an estimate on where your group would be seated.

  14. Can we have a private room?
Woodbine has a number of private rooms available to suit the size and needs of your group. See Meeting Group/Dining Rooms.

  15. What time do the races finish? How much time between races?
It takes about 3 ½ hours to complete a race card. There is approximately 20 to 25 minutes between races.
