Century International Quality ERA Gold Award for QC100 Total Quality Management
The QC100 Total Quality Management model is a quality-centered, customer focused,
team-driven, senior management-led process to achieve an organization's strategic imperatives through continuous improvement. The model allows companies to improve capability, efficiency and maximize results which lead to better decisions and reduced costs.


2010 Awards and Honours
- First Canadian racetrack to receive full accreditation by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) Safety and Integrity Alliance for racing integrity, racing and customer safety and wagering security
- Top Choice Award as Entertainment Complex of the Year
- Voted a Toronto Sun Readers’ Choice Gold Award winner for WEGZ Stadium Bar
- Voted a Toronto Sun Readers’ Choice Bronze Award for Woodbine Racetrack
- Received the O’Brien Award for Outstanding Broadcast/Video for its live coverage of the Pepsi North America Cup from Mohawk Racetrack
- Named International Simulcast Award winner for excellence in broadcasting its live racing product to simulcast outlets




Previous Awards and Honours
- received the 2009 Top Choice Award as Entertainment Complex of the Year. The Top Choice organization polled 3,000 people from 10 ethnic communities in the GTA to nominate their top choices in a variety of categories based on quality, service, value and professionalism and the Corporation received top honours as an entertainment facility
- all WEG facilities are now certified as a Quality Assessed Facility by the Technical Standards and Safety Association, the province’s safety regulator. The outcome of this voluntary assessment underpins our commitment to reaching the highest possible health and safety standards for customers, employees and horse racing participants
- earned The Jockey Club of Canada’s 2009 Sovereign Award for Outstanding Film/Video Broadcast for its one-hour documentary: The Queen’s Plate – History, Heritage and Hope that aired on CBC television
