2010 Awards and Honours
- Woodbine Entertainment received the 2010 Ontario Waste Minimization Platinum Award by the Recycling Council of Ontario in partnership with The Ministry of Environment
Previous Awards and Honours
- as an acknowledgement of the Corporation’s progressive initiatives and its leadership in energy conservation, Peter Love, Ontario’s Chief Conservation Officer, awarded Woodbine Entertainment Group his prestigious Certificate of Recognition.
- honoured for its environmental excellence by the Recycling Council of Ontario (RCO), earning a 2008 RCO Silver Award for Waste Maximization and in 2009 earning the RCO Gold Award in recognition of our efforts that divert 1,200 tonnes of waste annually from landfill sites
- received the Johnson Diversey’s Sustainable Facility Care Award for our leading-edge commitment to environmental sustainability, becoming the first Canadian corporation and first race track in North America to receive this distinction
- received the Power Partner Recognition Award for Conservation from the Building Owners and Managers Association for our contribution and commitment to energy conservation and environmental stewardship
