- In recognition for its long-standing support and sponsorship of the Canadian Association for the Riding Disabled, CARD created the “Spirit of Woodbine Award”. This new award will be presented annually to the young rider who has shown the most improvement throughout the year and embodies the spirit of competition.received the Canadian Gaming Association Award for Volunteerism and Community Service

- Honoured with the MicroSkills Corporate Spirit Award for ongoing community support, involvement and commitment
- Became the only Canadian company named in Building Magazine’s “Who’s Who List” of the top 44 corporations in North America
- A senior operations manager of the Company was named a "Smart Serve Ambassador," only one of two people in Ontario to receive this distinction. All WEG bar and service staff are "Smart Serve" trained and certified in accordance with guidelines established by The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
