How to Apply to WEG's Community Investment Program


Before submitting your request to Woodbine Entertainment Group, please carefully read the criteria and restrictions outlined on our “Community Investment Program” guidelines page to determine your eligibility for consideration.
 
Requests for donations and sponsorships should be submitted to corporatedonations@woodbineentertainment.com
 
Woodbine Entertainment Group does not accept donation solicitations by phone.
 
For consideration in 2016 please submit your application no later than March 1, 2017. Requests will be reviewed beginning on March 2, 2017 and you will be notified within 60 days. 
 
Please note that funds are limited and, unfortunately, we are unable to support all requests.
 
Applications are no longer being accepted for 2016 as all funds have been allocated.  For consideration in 2017 please submit your application no later than March 1, 2017.
 

Financial Donation or Sponsorship

If you are a registered charity seeking a financial donation or sponsorship, WEG must receive a proposal no later than March 1 for consideration..

Your proposal must set out the following:

1.         The official name of the organization and charitable registration number.

2.         The organization’s mission/purpose statement.

3.         A brief summary of the programs and services the organization provides.

4.         Audited financial statement.

5.         A detailed description of the program for which the organization is seeking funding support (General      

            operational support requests are permitted).

6.         The amount of cash sponsorship or donation being sought.

7.         The start and completion dates (if applicable).

  8.         Brief budget overview which itemizes the estimated costs of the event or program, including other sources of funding, such as government grants received, and which clearly states how excess funds (after event costs are paid) will be used (if applicable).

  9.         Details about the type of recognition that WEG will receive, such as signage, logo placement in brochures/websites, corporate table or speaking opportunities at events, and employee volunteer opportunities.


In-Kind Donation

If you are a registered charity seeking an “in-kind donation”, we will require your request at least three (3) weeks in advance of the event including the following:

1. The official name of the organization and charitable registration number.
2. The organization’s mission/purpose statement.
3. Only one request per calendar year may be made for each charity.
4. How many people are expected to attend the event and who will benefit from the activity.
5. How WEG’s “in-kind donation” will be acknowledged.

Submission of Financial Donation, Sponsorship and In-Kind Donation Requests
