  • Doyle has been a fixture at the racetrack since the early 1970s and has enjoyed success in four different decades
  • won his first race as trainer in June, 1978
  • won a Sovereign Award in 1984 as Canada’s top conditioner
  • as a trainer, Doyle managed equine stars such as 1989 Canadian Oaks winner Blondeinamotel, Sovereign Award winners Wavering Girl (1989 two-year-old filly) and millionaire Bessarabian (1986 older filly or mare)...he campaigned Wild Gale, third in both the 1993 Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes
  • quit training in the mid-1990s to become racing manager for the powerful Frank Stronach Stable, overseeing successes which included a 1994 Queen’s Plate win with Basqueian and a Sovereign Award as top owner
  • successful 2001 campaign, winning 19 races, racking up 80 top-three finishes and earning $1.27 million in purses, ranking him in Woodbine’s top 20 trainers...won sixth Star Shoot Stakes with Chamul and won the Ontario Colleen with Soundtrack
