The veteran conditioner is coming off a career-best season in 2009 in which he finished second in the WEG standings. His 106 wins locally were good enough to bring him within one of Tracy Brainard for the number one spot in the . Overall, Baillargeon sent out 147 winners from his barn (a personal best) while earning $2,847,547. He once again campaigned a well-balanced stable consisting of top claiming, conditioned and stakes stock. Some of his top older performers included Enny Youngman ($96,570), Mystical Ryan ($131,620) and Zeigler Hanover ($210,785).
