In Pictures: 2016 Thoroughbred Year in Review
TORONTO, December 27 - A memorable 2016 Thoroughbred season at Woodbine included one hundred and one stakes races, worth more than $20-million in purses, over a lengthy 133-day meet.
 
Woodbine track photographer Mike Burns, a multiple Sovereign Award winner, was along for the ride from the backstretch opening in February through to a chilly score by Bangkok in the season-closing Grade 3 Valedictory Stakes.
